Estancia Coy Inlet was founded in 1892 by the Smith brothers at the mouth of the Coyle River, where the Atlantic Ocean meets the vast Patagonian steppe, in the province of Santa Cruz, Argentina. Since then, it has remained in the hands of the same family, who generation after generation have preserved its history, traditions, rural culture, and way of life, making it one of the most representative historic ranches in Patagonia.
